SIT FIT

16 weeks to break the all-or-nothing cycle of food and fitness, and find the things that work FOR YOU that are sustainable and enjoyable.

Oh! And we leave the guilt, shame, and judgment at the door. Bye, bitch! 👋

REGISTRATION OPENS SEPTEMBER 5th!

Welcome, friend!

This is going to be the most anti-challenge fitness program you’ll ever try.

Why?

Because life is already challenging. Fitness and food are already challenging. Why would we add a challenge on top of a challenge?

The goal of SIT FIT is to bring as much ease, joy, and do-ability as possible.

We’re not going to overhaul your life to center around fitness and food, which is what most fitness challenges do. We are going to make fitness and food work in your life as it currently is.

Again, you ask why?

Because you know how the complete overhaul ends. You do it for 4-6 weeks. It takes a ton of time and energy to weight and measure everything you eat. You end up getting up super early to fit fitness in, knowing it isn’t sustainable or enjoyable. You skip social events with friends or don’t drink the glass or wine or eat the cookie because you’re “being good,” and it feels like fitness and food jail.

You see results for the time you’re doing it, no doubt, but the second the challenge ends, you inevitably go back to your regularly scheduled life, and slowly slide back into your old routine, which leads to guilt, shame, and the harsh judgement of yourself. “Why could I have just kept going? I’m so mad at myself!”

This leads to a vicious cycle or all-or-nothing that can last decades. You’re either being good, or you’re not. You either feel like an in control, although slightly anxious, person who is all in, or you’re out of control, do nothing, and feel like crap about yourself.

Not here, my friend.

We are breaking nonsense that TODAY!

What would it feel like to take a kinder, gentler approach where you feel good about yourself every single day?

That’s what we explore and practice in SIT FIT.

So much of our time is already spent beating ourselves up about where we are in our fitness journey, what our bodies look like, and dwelling on the coulda, shoulda, woulda’s.

How much more enjoyable would it be to give yourself grace, accept exactly where you are and move forward, getting little wins everyday?

And if you’re someone who is used to all-or-nothing, having the “all we know is go” mentality, what might it feel like to not have to crush yourself every time you go to the gym and spend all your time and energy counting macros and still see results?

Why is it called SIT FIT? Do I sit down?

The name SIT FIT came from a really difficult time in my life.

I coped by eating copious amount of pizza, drinking, and staying in bed for a lot of the day.

After a few months, I couldn’t take it anymore. I was feeling worse and worse by the day and knew that my food and inactivity (as someone who has been active in sports and fitness from age 5) was contributing to my terrible feelings. I wasn’t doing anything to move out of that space and got fed up with myself and knew I needed to stop what I was doing.

I had so many feelings of guilt and shame from “letting myself go,” especially as a fitness professional, that my first thought was to go all-in and kind of punish myself for the choices I made.

But, then I had a thought. What if I showed myself grace and compassion? What if I eased into it without having to crush myself to get back to where I was?

The thought of going full out back into the strength and conditioning world where I was jumping around, slinging weights, and weighting and measuring my food felt almost impossible. Daunting. Not motivating or inspiring at all.

So I decided to start with what I knew I could do, which was go to the gym, sit down, and lift weights. I didn’t do an hour. I did around 20 minutes to start. Just a few sets.

That’s where SIT FIT was born.

I sat because it was the smallest, easiest step I could take.

And it worked.

Slowly but surely I started to feel better.

I had more energy, spent more time outside and started incorporating water and fruits and vegetables without overhauling my food. I just added in things without cutting a bunch of things out.

Eventually I start to stand up at the gym. I started to feel strong again and like it was possible to get back to the fitness level I was at before.

What I learned was, meeting myself exactly where I was at without guilt and shame and not having to have fitness look like what it did in the past was the best thing I could have ever done.

SIT FIT is a mindset.

Do you have to sit down? No. That’s just what worked for me.

It’s about finding the smallest, easiest way to get back into movement that works for you in your life exactly where you are right now.

It’s letting go of the all-or-nothing and realizing that little bits do add up over time - even just 5 minutes is enough to start to gain momentum.

What does SIT FIT ENTAIL?

In SIT FIT, we spend 16 weeks together, slowly changing your mindset about what fitness and food have to look like to “count.”

You’ll start to realize the you don’t need to beat yourself up or make it hard to get the results you want.

FAQs

What equipment do I need to do SIT FIT?

If you don’t have equipment currently, you’ll be able to use your bodyweight to start.

Home workouts will include options for dumbbells and kettlebells. Bands are also optional.

If you’re going to the gym, you’ll have everything you need to do the workouts.

Do you tell me what to eat?

I won't tell you specifically what to eat, but there will be a ton of nutrition information, and we'll talk through food strategies.

There is an optional food journal and recipe books in the app if you choose to use that, but everyone is different. It's about finding what works for you and is sustainable in your life.

I could tell you to exactly what to eat, or exactly what I eat everyday, but there are so many different factors for each person (children, work environment, time, allergies, restrictions, preferences, access to certain foods, etc) that it wouldn’t be completely sustainable. The benefit is experimenting and creating a way of eating that is perfect for you, with a ton of guidance.

Do I need to sit down to do SIT FIT?

No.

I sat down to do fitness because that's what mentally worked for me at the time, and I had access to a full gym where I could sit on machines and benches.

If you're working out at home, you mostly won't be sitting down, although there are sit down options!

If you're at the gym, there will be machine options with additional substitutions to use free weights.

I already go to a fitness studio for classes. Can I do that in conjunction with SIT FIT?

Of course!

SIT FIT is about finding sustainable ways of moving and eating. If you have a movement practice that is working for you - KEEP DOING IT!!!

SIT FIT would be a supplemental/accompanying group that would offer additional accountability, workouts/programming for when you're not in your studio, tons of nutrition information and strategies, more community, and access to coaching and support from me.

I’ll be gone for a week during the program. Can I still do it?

Yes!

This isn’t a “rearrange your entire life” to do a fitness program kinda thing. That’s why it’s 16 weeks. It’s knowing that you’ll never have months where days or entire weeks don’t throw off your schedule, and finding ways to sustain some kind of consistency in the smallest ways.

Being away actually gives you time to practice some of the things we work on in SIT FIT.

Is it okay that I’m on a GLP-1?

Yes! There have been multiple people who have been on GLP-1’s participate in SIT FIT. A GLP-1 is one tool. You’ll be able to use that tool and add some more tools to your tool box as we go.

How much access to I have to you?

You’ll have LIVE interaction and access during the Monday Meet-Ups, where we have an open Q&A every session.

Additional coaching, support, and questions happen in the community forum in the app.

For the FIRST TIME, this round I’m offering super discounted, hour long, 1:1 coaching calls if you want private face to face time for anything you want to talk about.
